Who We Are: The 1304 ministry provides the people of Shoreline Covenant Church opportunities for outreach, service and leadership development for the care and compassion to those in need in our community, as expressions of the Great Commandments (Mark 12:30-31). We're a community earnestly desiring to take Jesus' words seriously: "love your neighbor as yourself." We aren't a food bank, a shelter, or a rehabilitation center, but we are passionate about following the caring model set by our Teacher. We're here to be a friend. Whether that means locating necessary resources, having a meal together, searching for a job, or providing transportation, we are excited to be a part of the process. We mean it when we invite you to call or stop by at any time. Please check out our blog (link at top of page) to find out more about what we are learning and what God is showing us. We also recently created a DVD about what we are doing, and how we see God using us. If you are interested in seeing it, feel free to send us an email and we can get you a copy. |
